Such Great Heights: New Year, New Sabbatical

It seems like only yesterday I took 100 days to figure out my next steps after running out of cash in a startup I co-founded. Naturally, not much went according to plan, but out of that exercise came the exciting opportunity which consumed me over the last 3 years: Element AI.
I find myself today, having just resigned from Element, once again in a similar spot to the start of my last sabbatical: uncertain, yes, but also giddy with excitement, and relishing my illusory control over the myriad possibilities of what’s next.
You guessed it, it’s time for another sabbatical. Hey, by now, I trust the process.
This time, as the last, I’m setting a few goals for the break:
CLIMB: I’m spending a large portion of the time climbing outside. Here’s aiming for a V3 in Hueco Tanks and a 5.10d in Red Rocks Canyon.
READ: I’d also like to spend the majority of my rest days reading. I’ve got a long list of topics I’d like to explore further, including feminism, philosophy, strategy, and random blow-your-mind out-of-left-field subjects. Book suggestions welcome!
QUEST: I’m taking part in the spring cohort of The Grand Quest. It’s my first time working with a coach in general, let alone in a group setting, so I expect to learn a bunch.
FRENCH: I’m stepping up French, which will entail some mix of conversational practice with my gracious traveling partner, and some written translation work for a trusting friend.
I’ll be attempting to write updates throughout, but as established last time, they’re unlikely to be consistently scheduled.
If you’re wondering what I’ve got lined up for when I get back, it’s absolutely nothing (save for a 1-day product strategy workshop I’ll lead, and coming online as an official mentor for NextAI).
This should be terrific fun :) Feel free to reach out, I’ll miss y’all while I’m on the road!
